JOB SUMMARY

Forestry and Land Scotland (FLS) is an executive agency of the Scottish Government and is responsible for the management of the National Forest Estate.
FLS operates primarily on a commercial basis, including the production and sales of timber. Its land management responsibilities include renewable energy, agriculture, community projects, conservation, recreation and tourism.
The Pay & Reward team is responsible for providing payroll & pension services to both Forestry and Land Scotland and to Scottish Forestry (SF), a separate executive agency responsible for policy, regulation and grant-giving for tree planting.
The team comprises one Pay & Reward Manager and two Pay & Reward Officers. It is part of the People Services team which also includes the HR Systems and HR Administration teams.

JOB DESCRIPTION

You will manage the Pay & Reward team to produce the FLS and SF monthly payrolls (for approximately 1300 people) in a timely and accurate fashion.
You will ensure the Civil Service Pension scheme and the Partnership pension scheme are administered in accordance with the rules of the schemes and the service contracts.
You will maintain professional working relationships with HR colleagues, managers and the stakeholders in both FLS and SF.
