ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE

EXP1 Experience prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines.
EXP2 Experience in performing computer functions (for example: sending and receiving emails, using a word processing, spreadsheet software, etc.)

ASSET EXPERIENCE

AEXP1 Experience in a pay environment or providing employee pay services.
AEXP2 Experience leading a team (including volunteer positions).
AEXP3 Experience working in a client service role.
AEXP4 Experience working on a previous census of population.

ABILITIES

Ability to supervise a team.
Ability to verify information for accuracy and completeness.

Responsibilities

Establishes work priorities for the delivery of pay services for an assigned unit.
Analyzes pay issues, makes decisions, and provides recommendations to the assistant manager pay, as required.
Trains and supervises staff including, monitoring performance and productivity.
Reviews and responds to inquiries on pay actions.
Follows regulations and provincial legislation affecting pay and deductions.
Compiles, maintains and updates records of pay activities and decisions in the pay systems.
Participates in the census evaluation process.
