REQUIREMENTS

  • College or university degree in Information Technology or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in application and integration support, with a specialization in payment solutions.
  • Knowledge of the retail industry (an asset).
  • Understanding of business processes.
  • Functional bilingualism in spoken and written English and French (required for supporting stores across Canada and working with English-speaking vendors).
  • Knowledge of database programming languages (SQL Server or others).
  • Experience with various integrated technology solutions (an asset).

Responsibilities

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

Under the supervision of the Process & Systems Team Lead, the incumbent supports and ensures the proper functioning of technological solutions, with a primary focus on payment solutions. The candidate participates in problem resolution, functional analysis, documentation, and system maintenance. Versatility, adaptability, and openness to change are key qualities for this role.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Understand and master systems, their integrations, databases, and the entire application ecosystem, with a particular focus on payment solutions and their integration with sales systems.
  • Manage reported incidents, analyze issues, and escalate when necessary (external vendors, development teams, BI specialists).
  • Identify recurring problems and propose root-cause solutions.
  • Document recurring system incidents and coordinate with the right resources to implement solutions.
  • Monitor systems, logs, and alerts to ensure proactive issue detection.
  • Interpret SQL programs and read integration files (XML and other formats).
  • Work closely with developers and external partners, including payment software vendors, to identify development needs.
  • Contribute to the improvement, correction, and testing of integrations between systems and various technology solutions, particularly payment solutions.
  • Collaborate with users and external vendors for the implementation, support, and maintenance of technological solutions and integrations.
  • Maintain regular communication with internal users regarding incident resolution progress.
  • Create and execute SQL queries to analyze data, extract information, and perform corrections.
  • Participate in system and application upgrades in coordination with relevant stakeholders.
  • Write and maintain technical documentation for systems and integrations.
  • Assist in data archiving and migrations.
  • Update and distribute “delivery notes” to relevant stakeholders.
  • Provide after-hours support on a rotating schedule with team members.
