As a Payments Processing Analyst in our Payments Processing team, you will oversee day-to-day payment operations, ensuring all client requests are executed with accuracy and compliance. You will lead and motivate the team, manage escalations, and drive process improvements while maintaining a strong focus on audit, quality, and deadlines. Your role will be key in supporting team development and ensuring adherence to policies and standards. Job responsibilities Execute and supervise client payment requests (including Swift MX messages) with 100% accuracy, following defined controls. Process and verify requests efficiently, escalating aged items and errors or exceptions as appropriate. Respond effectively and timely to routine queries and complaints, maintaining audit focus in all business-as-usual activities. Identify and implement process efficiency improvements in a controlled manner. Create and update SOPs and documentation, ensuring compliance with standards, policies, and IT/system access requirements. Foster a positive work environment by supporting, informing, and facilitating cross-training and knowledge transfer within the team. Provide leadership, guidance, and motivation to improve staff performance, addressing performance issues in a timely and professional manner. Emphasize deadlines, quality, and adherence to procedures in all activities. Manage projects and collaborate with partner sites to drive operational excellence. Train new joiners, support their development, and prepare MIS and scorecards for senior management. Act as a back-up to the Shift Manager, provide overall supervision, and adapt to night shifts or extended hours during high volume periods. Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills Bachelors graduate with 2+ years of experience in international payment processing operations. Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate at all levels and work as a team player. Understanding of the banking and financial services industry. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong presentation abilities. Proficient in MS Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. Strong analytical and PC skills. Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills Strong working knowledge of payment operations, preferably in a back office or processing arm of a reputed bank. Working knowledge of SWIFT and international payment conventions and practices is preferred.
