Salary range: $22.94 - $32.12 per hour Job Description The Payment Operations Specialist is responsible for providing unparalleled service to all employees regarding operational and payment related tasks. This position is also responsible for mentoring and training employees, assisting in system upgrades and enhancement testing, as well as keeping abreast of industry changes regarding payment systems. This position adheres to the regulatory requirements payment channel networks’ operating rules and contributes to the overall goals of the department and credit union Core Job Requirements/Outcomes Participate, and/or consult on departmental and cross functional projects by contributing to the evolvement of STCU’s culture and strategic vision and/or achievement of goals. Demonstrate expert knowledge by performing tasks with accuracy, adhering to appropriate deadlines, and mentoring the Representative I and II employees on the team. Support STCU and departmental goals and objectives by proactively evaluating processes for accuracy and/or needed improvements and implementing necessary changes, through supporting projects and operations, conducting core system and other ancillary system enhancement testing, contributing to test script creation, and taking initiative to provide staff with conceptual and technical support. Other Essential Functions Participate and successfully complete professional training and credit union required courses to increase job skills and knowledge in deposit and payment network regulations and industry best practices. Assist senior specialists and managers in audit findings to include research, trainings, procedure updates and team communication. Assist with management of STCU help tickets by providing research, documentation and escalation as needed. Assist in Federal reserve, NACHA, Eccho and other applicable rule changes. Perform additional duties as required for the efficient operation of the department and the credit union. This includes providing back up support for daily departmental processes or desk duties, escalated decision making and ownership to dissolve member, system and process concerns. Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of situations exercising flexibility and sound judgment in a fast-paced environment. Act as a liaison to collaborate with all teams within the organization. Qualifications Education: AA degree or equivalent work experience required. Certifications: Certificate in a payment channel industry certification; AAP, NCP, ARPR preferred. Job Experience: Minimum of three years of experience working in financial institution with emphasis in payments and operations required. Software Skills: Knowledge of MS Office programs including Outlook, Word, Excel and Teams. Physical Demands: Must be able to regularly talk, hear and operate a computer, keyboard and mouse and occasionally lift, pull/push and carry up to 10 pounds with accommodations. Work Conditions: Exposure to constant or intermittent sounds at a low or moderate level consistent with an office setting. Exposure to high-stress, fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
