Description University Physicians' Association is looking for a full-time Payment Posting Specialist for our Revenue Cycle Management team within the UPA corporate offices located in Knoxville, TN. What You'll Do: This description is a general statement of required major duties and responsibilities performed on a regular and continuous basis. It does not exclude other duties as assigned. Posting guarantor and insurance payments to accounts. Balancing all posted checks and deposits. Identifying patients and guarantors to match remittances. Downloading Electronic Remittance Advice and keeping up to date. Identifying electronic payments in ERA. Downloading/Uploading ACH/ERA/EOB files daily Reconciling & Matching bank deposits Payer website EOB downloading/uploading Using banking application (RMS) to create logs and process daily deposits Physical Demands: Requires sitting and standing associated with a normal office environment. Fast typing dexterity is required. Requirements Required Education & Training: Requires High School education or equivalency, medical billing courses and college preferred. What We're Looking For: Familiarity with MS Office/Windows operating systems. Strong attention to detail with an emphasis on quality. Effective communication skills. Ability to meet and exceed productivity standards. Proficiency with numbers and office equipment.
Responsibilities
The specialist will be responsible for posting guarantor and insurance payments to accounts, balancing all posted checks and deposits, and identifying patients and guarantors to match remittances.
