What You’ll Do: Investigate and resolve complex payment escalations across internal teams, users, and vendors, identifying root causes to prevent recurrence. Analyze and optimize payment workflows to eliminate bottlenecks and drive long-term operational efficiency. Ensure accurate and timely processing of payments within service level agreements, resolving any discrepancies swiftly. Lead efforts in fraud detection and risk mitigation by spotting patterns and developing proactive strategies. Guide KYC processes and enhance user verification procedures for compliance and effectiveness. Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to influence roadmap decisions and improve the payments experience. Mentor other payments team members, fostering a culture of critical thinking, ownership, and continuous improvement. What You’ll Bring: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience 2+ years of experience in financial services, payments, fraud, or KYC, ideally in a tech-forward or high-growth environment. Deep understanding of payment ecosystems and vendors (e.g., Stripe, Plaid, Cognito, Proof). Exceptional communication, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Demonstrated ability to drive proactive strategies and process improvements in complex operational environments.
