Overview Applies principles of accounting to both analyze pay, fringe benefits and other financial information to ensure accurate pay to employees and assist with the completion and reporting of payroll information, including but not limited to payroll tax returns, to applicable regulatory agencies under the supervision of departmental leadership. Qualifications Education required: Bachelor Degree from an accredited college or university Education preferred: Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Business, or Finance from an accredited college or university preferred Experience: Minimum of one year accounting experience (preferably in health care or public accounting setting). Experience in Quickbooks, Lawson, and Crystal reporting beneficial. Additional skills/abilities: Must be able to communicate effectively and work in a fast paced environment requiring the ability to set priorities, coordinate and organize multiple tasks and maintain control of work flow Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suites products Strong attention to detail and accuracy Understanding of financial and accounting principles Problem-solving for payroll discrepancies Confidentiality Evolved focus on analytics and compliance About Us Highlights of our hospitals Huntsville Hospital was recently named Best Regional Hospital and #2 in Alabama by U.S. News & World Report. Responsibilities
