Description

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3–5 years of experience in payroll accounting within construction, contracting, or manpower industries—especially handling certified payroll and union compliance.
  • Hands-on knowledge of payroll systems (e.g., ADP, LCP Tracker, DIR eCPR), timekeeping platforms, and payroll software.
  • Strong familiarity with labor laws, prevailing wage requirements, union policies, and subcontractor compliance.
  • Solid accounting fundamentals and Excel skills for reconciliations, journal entries, cost tracking, and reporting.
  • Excellent attention to detail, confidentiality, and ability to multitask under tight deadlines.
Responsibilities
  • Process payroll for both manpower and in-house employees across projects. Includes weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly payroll cycles with varying pay structures.
  • Ensure compliance with certified and prevailing wage requirements, union agreements, and jurisdiction-specific labor laws—handling reports and submissions accurately and timely.
  • Coordinate payroll for manpower services, including reviewing timecards, managing invoicing for contractors, overseeing benefit deductions, unions, garnishments, and fringe contributions.
  • Interface with HR, project managers, and payroll vendors to verify rates, assignments, classifications, benefits, and manpower needs (hire/terminate/change).
  • Record labor costs against specific jobs or projects, reconcile payroll journal entries, and support financial audits.
