POSITION SUMMARY

The Payroll Accountant position is integral to the financial operations of any organization. This role involves managing and overseeing all aspects of payroll accounting and payroll processes to ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency. The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with other departments and our external payroll Company.

ASSIGNMENT DESCRIPTION

  • Process payroll for all employees in Norway accurately and on time.
  • Maintain payroll records, including timesheets, salary changes, and deductions.
  • Calculate wages, bonuses, and deductions based on company policies and legal requirements.
  • Check and process travel expenses for payment to ensure in compliance with tax laws and regulations.
  • Address payroll-related inquiries and resolve discrepancies.
  • Prepare payroll reports for management review.
  • Stay updated on changes in payroll laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with HR to ensure employee information is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Reconcile of payroll balance sheet accounts and resolve discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with external auditors during annual audits.
  • Identify process improvements and implement best practices to enhance control and efficiency
  • Assist in other ad hoc financial tasks and provide support as required in Finance Department
  • Maintain and update internal salary banding structures, ensuring alignment with market trends and company policies.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in similar work.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and stay organized.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently
  • Preferred experience with SAP systems.
  • Preference for candidates available as soon as possible.
