Description We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Payroll & Accounting Specialist to support the day-to-day payroll and accounting operations of our organization. This position is primarily responsible for processing payroll accurately and efficiently while also assisting with a variety of accounting and administrative functions. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, maintain confidentiality, and demonstrate the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Process payroll from start to finish, including timecard review, payroll adjustments, and final payroll submission Ensure payroll accuracy and compliance with applicable wage and hour laws, payroll tax regulations, and company policies Maintain payroll records, employee earnings and deduction information, and employee data within payroll systems Coordinate payroll-related reporting and tax filings on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis Respond to employee and management payroll questions and assist with issue resolution in a professional and timely manner Enter payroll and financial data into accounting systems accurately and efficiently Assist with invoice processing, deposits, vendor setup for ACH/EFT payments, and general payment processing activities Reconcile payroll-related accounts, bank accounts, and company credit cards Provide backup support for accounts payable, banking functions, and other accounting duties as needed Maintain confidentiality of sensitive payroll and financial information Assist with special projects and additional administrative or accounting responsibilities as assigned Qualifications Previous experience in payroll processing and accounting support Knowledge of payroll practices, payroll taxes, and accounting principles Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy Ability to handle confidential information with discretion Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and accounting/payroll software systems Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Hours for this position are Monday through Friday, 8AM - 5PM.
