Specialising in both insurance and non-insurance building and restoration repairs along the Eastern Seaboard of Australia, we’re looking for a passionate and skilled Payroll/Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team!
We are seeking an experienced Payroll/Accounts Payable Specialist to be responsible for weekly payroll and accounts payable. This is a full-time position offering flexible work options in a supportive and engaging team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for weekly payroll for 65 employees using MYOB and QuickBooks
- Manage accounts payable, ensuring accuracy and timely payments
- Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with relevant regulations
- Assist with general accounting duties as needed
Key Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in payroll and accounts payable
- Proficient with MYOB and QuickBooks
- Diploma in Accounting or related qualification highly regarded
- Strong intermediate Excel skills
- Great attention to detail with a focus on accuracy
- Experience closing off end of month and ensuring all accounts are reconciled
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities effectively
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
