Description

We are a friendly and growing accountancy practice based in Newcastle upon Tyne, and we’re looking for an organised and detail-oriented Payroll & Admin Manager to join our team.
About the Role
You will play a key role in both our payroll and administrative functions. Working with a portfolio of clients, you’ll be responsible for running payrolls accurately and on time, as well as handling a range of practice admin tasks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Processing client payrolls using BrightPay payroll software
  • Managing PAYE/CIS, pensions, and statutory requirements (RTI submissions, auto-enrolment, etc.)
  • Supporting client onboarding, including setting up records and systems
  • Assisting with company secretarial work (Companies House filings, maintaining registers, etc.)
  • General administrative support to partners and the wider team

About You

We’re looking for someone with:

  • Experience in a payroll/admin role, ideally within an accountancy practice
  • Familiarity with payroll legislation and processes
  • Confidence using BrightPay (or similar payroll software)
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • A proactive and reliable approach to work
