JOB OVERVIEW

Our client, a manufacturer in Irvington, NJ, is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Administrator who thrives in a fast-paced environment, and has a passion for accuracy in data entry and time management.
Monday-Friday, start time 8:30am
$65,000-70,000/year, commensurate with experience.

Duties to include:

  • Utilize ADP Workforce Now to manage payroll system.
  • Enter, maintain and process: employee hourly rates, salaries, commissions, bonuses or other compensation, time worked, paid leave and holidays, deductions and withholding, address changes.
  • Ensures proper processing of payroll deductions for taxes, benefits, garnishments and other deductions and reconciles all deductions on a weekly basis.
  • Collaborate with HR as needed to maintain employee records.
  • Issues, or reissues, physical or replacement checks or direct deposits due to errors or final discharge.

Experience:

  • Two + years experience in payroll processing/administration
  • Excellent analysis skills with a keen attention to detail for accurate data entry and reporting
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams including Human Resources and Accounting departments
  • BA preferable
  • Experience with contractual labor agreements a plus
  • Proficient with Excel
  • Experience working at a manufacturer a plus

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
