POSITION OVERVIEW

The Payroll Administrator/HR Generalist is responsible for accurately and efficiently processing payroll for all employees, ensuring compliance with applicable laws, tax regulations, and company policies. Duties include preparing and submitting weekly Certified Payroll Reports for applicable projects, onboarding new hires, processing terminations, and performing other administrative tasks as needed. This position requires strong attention to detail, confidentiality, and the ability to handle sensitive employee information with discretion. Training will be provided for the right candidate. Full-time, 40 hours per week.

  • Proven experience in payroll administration or a similar role.
  • Knowledge of payroll systems (e.g., Paychex, Sage, QuickBooks, or similar).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel preferred
  • Familiarity with E-Verify processes

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Payroll experience.
  • HR, or related field preferred

Responsibilities
  • Prepare, process, and review weekly payroll, ensuring accurate calculation of wages, overtime, deductions, and bonuses.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date payroll records in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Coordinate with field supervision to address and resolve any inquiries or discrepancies related to employee time entries in the TimeClock system
  • Administer statutory deductions such as taxes, retirement plans, and insurance contributions.
  • Reconcile payroll accounts and generate required management reports.
  • Respond promptly to payroll-related inquiries and resolve discrepancies.
  • Prepare and submit Certified Payroll Reports for applicable projects.
  • Manage and submit compliance documentation.
  • Oversee accident and incident reporting to the company’s insurance carrier.
  • Conduct employment eligibility verification (E-Verify)
