JOB SUMMARY

In accordance with governmental regulations, auditor’s guidelines, and Visiting Nurse Home & Hospice agency policies the Bookkeeper/Payroll Administrator will provide direct bookkeeping, payroll, and clerical support to the Finance Manager, and Human Resources team as needed. The Bookkeeper/Payroll Administrator reports to the Finance Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Knowledge of accounting principles, procedures, and standards encompassing general ledger through financial statements, accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  2. Ability to work with accounting software, Microsoft Office products, ADP payroll processing software, and Homecare Homebase/Promisepoint software applications.
  3. Ability to provide quality assurance and integrity of financial data and correct errors and inconsistencies as necessary.
  4. Ability to process computer data and to format and generate reports.
  5. Able to work with speed and accuracy to meet critical deadlines.
  6. Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize work assignments.
  7. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  8. Ability to adapt to change and work well with different personalities.
  9. Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information on a day to day basis.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  1. High school diploma or GED preferred.
  2. Three to five years of experience with bookkeeping, payroll, and executive level clerical work. Well-qualified candidates should exhibit an eye for detail, the ability to meet deadlines, ability to communicate complex data clearly, exceptional organizational skills, customer service mindset and advanced administrative skills working with confidential and/or sensitive information.
