Payroll Administrator Manchester £26,000 to £32,000
Job Purpose
We are looking for an experienced Payroll Administrator who will ensure accurate and timely processing of all Payroll activity for your portfolio of customers. You will be responsible for delivering customer excellence to our payroll clients and liaising with them to resolve any data ambiguity issues. The Payroll Administrator is responsible for the day-to-day payroll processing activity ensuring all submissions from clients are transacted on time, and error-free, against the agreed processing timetable.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver accurate and timely payroll processing, ensuring gross to net calculations are administered through Brighthr’s software solution in a timely fashion.
  • Have a solid understanding of end-to-end payroll processing, and follow the Payroll Processing Checklist to ensure all activities are carried out and completed in a timely fashion.
  • Knowledge of Auto enrolment rules and principles ensuring accurate and timely pensions administration for clients on a periodic basis.
  • Demonstrable working knowledge of the latest rules and calculations in regard to Statutory payments i.e. Maternity, Adoption, Shared Parental, Paternity, bereavement pay etc.
  • An ability to translate payroll processing activity from gross to net pay, and answer queries on net pay impacting changes, with confidence.
  • Maintain your own training plan measured on the skills matrix driving your own product and legislative learning to ensure you are fully conversant with being a BrightHR Payroll Specialist within 3-6 months.
  • Ensure all your transactions are appropriately peer checked for accuracy accepting all training needs and developmental feedback as necessary.
  • Manage all cases with Customers within SLA, and ensuring a full audit trail for any amendments and changes is maintained through the BrightHR Case Management system.
  • Ensure completion of all BrightHR’s mandatory training, on an annual basis.
  • Ensure only dealing with trusted contacts from our Customers, and maintaining client confidentiality at all times.
  • Ability to reconcile all payments due for our clients P32 reports to HMRC and ensure adherence to the 3rd party payments schedule.
  • Ability to reconcile third party payments due e.g. Workplace Pensions, and effectively upload pension schedules accurately and compliantly each pay period.
