Payroll Administrator - The Role:
To deliver Davies Turner’s pay and expenses systems, with responsibility for the effective administration of the payroll, ensuring all necessary controls and legal requirements are implemented, whilst maintaining a high standard of accuracy.
Payroll Administrator - Key Responsibilities:
- To be responsible for the efficient and effective administration of all aspects of the payroll, ensuring deadlines are met and compliance with current legislative requirements.
- To contribute to the development and maintenance of systems and procedures to ensure a consistently high level of accuracy and deliver an effective audit trail.
- To liaise with relevant management across the business to ensure that all pay change/ leavers information and authorisation is provided in accordance with Company procedures.
- To monitor and evaluate information and statistics provided from the payroll system, identifying issues and taking appropriate action to resolve problems.
- To provide advice and guidance on the administration of the payroll and related issues to all levels within the Company, working closely with colleagues to identify issues and promptly resolve any staff queries.
- To maintain knowledge and understanding of current payroll legislation, N.I. requirements and other initiatives relating to the administration of the payroll and to provide advice to colleagues when required.
- To liaise with branches and external agencies to ensure effective exchange of information, records and statistics for the remuneration process.
- To control and manage the expenses and mileage claims system in accordance with Company procedures.
- To offer a high standard of customer service to both internal and external customers, providing appropriate, accurate information and demonstrating a professional, helpful and positive manner.
- To ensure that all activities operate within Davies Turner policies and procedures and to demonstrate a commitment to these through their own working practices.
- To ensure that all documentation, records and systems are accurate, kept up to date and in line with the Data Protection Act, in order to provide the statistical data required in compliance with current legislation.
- To prepare and present reports for the Davies Turner management team as required.
- To comply with the Health and Safety statement in all areas of responsibility.
- To carry out such other duties as are within the scope and spirit of the job purpose and level of responsibility.
