Job Description We are seeking a meticulous Payroll Administrator to handle the day-to-day payroll capturing, including the processing of third-party payments, EMP201, EMP501 submissions, and WCA compliance, using the Payspace payroll system. The role ensures the accurate and timely processing of payroll, statutory submissions, and third-party payments, with a focus on compliance with South African payroll laws and regulations. Key Responsibilities: Day-to-Day Payroll Capturing: Accurately capture payroll data, including attendance, overtime, third-party payments, and other payroll adjustments, ensuring all entries are correctly recorded in the Payspace system. Update and maintain employee records in the Payspace payroll system, ensuring that payroll information is accurate and up to date. EMP, WCA, and Statutory Compliance: Ensure accurate and timely completion of EMP201 monthly submissions (including PAYE, UIF, and SDL) and EMP501 reconciliations in compliance with SARS regulations. Prepare and submit EMP501 annual tax submissions for employees, ensuring accuracy and resolving discrepancies as needed. Process Workmen’s Compensation Act (WCA) submissions and ensure correct classification of employees for WCA reporting and compliance with the Department of Employment and Labour. Third-Party Payments: Process and manage third-party payments, such as garnishments, loan repayments, medical aids, and pension contributions, ensuring they are accurately captured in the Payspace payroll system. Ensure timely and accurate payments to third-party organizations and vendors, maintaining proper records of transactions. Payroll Adjustments and Deductions: Process employee benefits, deductions, and payroll-related adjustments within the Psiber payroll system, ensuring compliance with company policies and statutory requirements. Ensure the correct processing of statutory deductions such as UIF, PAYE, and SDL. Payroll Queries and Discrepancies: Handle payroll-related queries and discrepancies from employees, management, and third-party providers, providing timely and accurate solutions. Reporting & Compliance: Generate payroll reports as required, including statutory reports (EMP201, EMP501), third-party payments, and other payroll-related reports. Ensure compliance with BCEA, SARS regulations, and other relevant statutory payroll requirements. Qualifications Qualifications: Education: A Finance Diploma or equivalent qualification is required. Experience: 1 to 3 years of experience in payroll administration, specifically using Payspace payroll system or similar payroll software. Knowledge: Strong understanding of EMP201, EMP501, and WCA submissions. Knowledge of third-party payment processes and payroll compliance. Familiarity with statutory deductions and South African payroll laws, including BCEA. Skills & Competencies: Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail when capturing payroll data, processing third-party payments, and ensuring compliance with statutory submissions. Proficiency in Psiber Payroll System: Experience with Psiber payroll system or similar software to process payroll and third-party payments. Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple payroll tasks and meet submission deadlines. Communication Skills: Effective communication skills to address payroll queries and collaborate with employees, management, and third-party organizations. Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to resolve discrepancies and issues related to payroll and third-party payments quickly and efficiently.
