WE’RE HIRING: PAYROLL ADMINISTRATOR

Sturgeon Public Schools is currently seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Payroll Administrator to join our Finance team. This is a full-time permanent position responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll and benefits processing for all staff across the division. Responsibilities

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Process payroll, union dues, pension contributions, and benefit deductions
  • Ensure timely documentation of employee changes (hires, terminations, updates)
  • Review and validate time and attendance entries
  • Apply collective agreements and employment contracts to payroll processes
  • Prepare ROEs, pension documents (LAPP), and ASEBP forms
  • Reconcile monthly benefit premiums and complete government remittances
  • Support year-end T4s, audit preparation, and general ledger reconciliations
  • Maintain accurate payroll records and ensure confidentiality at all times
  • Assist with payroll-related reporting and data analysis
  • Communicate clearly with staff to resolve payroll-related inquiries
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of payroll systems and workflows
