ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

Payroll

  • Process bi-weekly/monthly payroll for hourly and salaried employees. 80 employees. 40-45 employees are hourly. Payroll is not in house. Mostly just entries in Payroll system
  • Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with provincial and federal laws.
  • Manage new hires, terminations, benefits deductions, and payroll adjustments.
  • Prepare ROEs, T4s, and other year-end payroll documentation.
  • Liaise with HR and department managers for timekeeping, bonuses, and adjustments.
  • Reconcile payroll accounts and respond to employee payroll inquiries.
  • Update Employee profiles in Payroll system
  • Process Payroll
  • Reconcile the balances
  • Manage benefits and expense reports
  • Attend to Payroll queries

Accounts Payable

  • Receive, review, and process vendor invoices and employee expense reports.
  • Match invoices with POs and receipts, ensuring proper approvals are in place.
  • Prepare and execute weekly payment runs (cheques, EFTs, wire transfers).
  • Maintain accurate vendor files and reconcile statements.
  • Assist in the month-end close by preparing accruals and AP reports.
  • Resolve discrepancies with vendors and internal departments.

About You

  • Experience with Payworks or ADP
  • Have 3+ years of experience
  • PCP designation
  • Having good understanding of Payroll Cycle, taxes, and compliances
