Job Title: Payroll ANALYST Location: Hyderabad (Hybrid) Relocation Provided: Yes Shift timing: 10:00 PM IST – 7:00 PM IST General Summary: Reporting to the Director, HR India, the Payroll Specialist will play a key role in supporting our fast-growing teams across India. This role is responsible for end-to-end payroll processing for both local employees and expatriate associates on regional or long-term assignments in India. The specialist will ensure accurate and compliant payroll operations, including managing statutory requirements such as Income Tax, Gratuity, Provident Fund, Professional Tax, and Labour Welfare Fund. Additionally, this role will handle period-end closing activities, conduct payroll analysis, prepare statutory reports, and manage various payroll-related ad hoc tasks. Key Responsibilities Owns the accuracy of all payroll data, proactively identifying and resolving discrepancies before payroll closure, and ensuring all required inputs are thoroughly collated and verified. Takes full responsibility for reviewing payroll inputs, including calculations, deductions, reimbursements, bonuses, and full & final settlements, ensuring precision and compliance. Leads the reconciliation of payroll payments, ensuring each cycle’s disbursements are accurate, compliant with GHX policy, and fully validated. Responsible for the office compliance, registrations and renewals like Shops & Establishment Act and other acts. Ensuring the accuracy of relevant Government reports such as Personal Income Tax, Provident Fund, PT, LWF and other statutory requirements Proactively communicates payroll updates, including any changes, amendments, or new processes, ensuring employees receive timely and clear information. Delivers responsive and anticipatory payroll support by addressing employee questions, providing required information, and managing Full & Final settlements for exiting employees with accuracy and transparency. Complies with local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions. Safeguards employee trust and ensures secure payroll operations by strictly maintaining the confidentiality of all payroll‑related information. Maintains the monthly, biannual and annual trackers as per the statutory acts and laws Ensure timely closure of audit observations and implementation of corrective and preventive actions Prepare SOP’s, Control Matrix and FAQ’s Other duties as required Required Education, Certifications, and Experience 7+ years’ experience in Payroll, Labour law, taxation and statutory compliance Bachelor’s degree in business, commerce, accounting or related field Prior experience working in HR Operations is a plus Ability to effectively work with diverse cultures in a global team Hands-on experience in payroll accounting, reconciliations, and statutory compliance Hands-on experience with payroll systems, ERP (Dayforce is a plus), and third-party vendors Proficient in Microsoft Excel Excellent interpersonal, communication skills and a flexible approach Ability to handle sensitive information and maintain confidentiality Ability to multitask and learn processes quickly for more efficient and effective results.
