Are you passionate about payroll and eager to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with an industry-leading company? Our client is seeking a Payroll Analyst to join their innovative team. If you have an eye for spotting errors, expertise in ADP systems, and strong knowledge of payroll tax laws, we want to hear from you!
QUALIFICATIONS :
Certification as a Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) (preferred).
Proficiency in ADP systems and payroll processing.
Familiarity with payroll tax returns, payroll reconciliations, and GL postings.
Strong knowledge of benefits administration, RRSP allocations, and Canadian employment laws.
Experience with system implementation (nice-to-have).
Exceptional attention to detail and time-management skills.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :
Data Management : Gather required data and complete forms for submission to ADP. Ensure timely and accurate processing.
Timesheet Management : Review and close all timesheets and verify approved time-off requests.
Error Spotting : Audit calculations for discrepancies and ensure corrections are applied accordingly.
Collaborations with Payroll Provider : Provide accurate, on-time submissions for ROEs, T4s, and payroll adjustments.
Benefits Administration : Handle employee benefits, including enrollment, RRSP allocations, and solving issues related to double payments.
Payroll Accuracy : Track payroll to general ledger (GL) postings and reconcile discrepancies.
System Implementation : Assist in implementing new systems, ensuring smooth integration.
Expense Reports and Bonuses : Gather data, calculate, and prepare employee expense reports and bonuses.
Annual Salary Review : Contribute to the annual salary review process, providing necessary follow-ups.
Compensation Management : Track vacation, sick days, workers’ compensation, insurance, commissions, and disability claims.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES :
Ensure compliance with tax laws and payroll limitations while effectively communicating requirements to employees and clients.
Work closely with Benefits Insurance provider and Payroll Provider for garnishments, pension benefits, and claim processing.
Prepare payroll tax returns and reconcile payroll to GL postings.
Support initiatives to introduce new expenses platform to streamline HR processes.
