We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity in the retail industry in Jacksonville, Florida for a Payroll Analyst. This role involves dealing with payroll processing during personnel changes and maintaining compliance with company policies and government regulations.

• Oversee the processing of multi-state payroll for both non-exempt and exempt employees.
• Handle various deductions, including garnishments, retirement plans, and other miscellaneous deductions.
• Collaborate with HR generalists and managers to keep all employee data up to date and managed efficiently.
• Conduct weekly audits on various changes such as new hires, terminations, status changes, tax changes, direct deposit, and rate changes.
• Ensure the correct calculation of PTO accruals.
• Investigate and rectify payroll discrepancies as required.
• Submit bi-weekly files to the retirement vendor and carry out reconciliation of retirement funding.
• Maintain the timekeeping system to ensure data compliance with company policies and governmental regulations.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in a Payroll Analyst role or similar within the retail industry.
• Proficiency in using Accounting Software Systems is essential.
• Experience with ADP - Financial Services is required.
• Familiarity with ADP Workforce Now is a must.
• Knowledge of Ceridian and Dayforce platforms is necessary.
• Experience in 401k - RRSP Administration is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with About Time software is beneficial.
• Solid understanding of general Accounting Functions is needed.
• Proven experience in Auditing is required.
• Ability to manage Benefit Functions effectively is a key requirement.
