JOB SUMMARY:

This position will focus on payroll and payroll tax data validation, filings and reconciliations, metrics, and projects. This hire will review, evaluate, and maintain payroll, payroll tax, and accounting processes with adherence to policy, procedures, and internal controls. In addition, this person will recommend, implement, and manage continuous improvement of payroll processes. This hire will work closely with other members of the Payroll Team and third-party service to ensure completeness and accuracy of payroll processes, and will provide support to the Payroll Team with projects and data analysis.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 5 + years of payroll experience, Payroll Tax experience highly preferred
  • Strong accounting/finance knowledge, communication skills, and problem-solving abilities
  • Proficient to intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Previous experience in PeopleSoft, Workday, and/or Dayforce Tax – preferred
    The expected Total Compensation for this role is $56,485.00 - $71,874.28. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
Responsibilities

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Execute payroll audits/reviews to ensure the accuracy of pay and identify potential errors
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and tax regulations
  • Prepare and file tax returns and remit payroll tax payments in collaboration with a third-party tax service
  • Complete reconciliation and prepare journal entry preparation for payroll tax payments
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures on all payroll processes
  • Execute data deliverables to Risk Management and Corporate Tax teams
  • Prepare data in response to ad-hoc requests for payroll information
  • Review tax notices and respond to regulatory agencies
  • Review and respond to pay-related inquiries from employees
  • Contribute to system implementation and enhancement projects
  • Provide training and support to Global Shared Services team
  • Performs other duties and projects as assigned
