We are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Payroll Analyst to oversee and support specialty payroll processing for both Canadian and U.S. employees. The ideal candidate will serve as the primary payroll contact for:

  • Serve as a point payroll contact for all topic related to payroll processing of:

o Union Reporting and Funding
o Auditing Union Payroll
o Union Benefits

o Shadow Payroll process

  • Ensure accurate set up of Union Employees in Payroll System
  • Union Reporting and Funding and Union Vendor Contacts
  • Auditing Union Payroll
  • Union Benefit payroll set up and Funding.
  • Shadow Payroll processing from Set up to process through General Ledger
  • Delegation set up and Allowance process including set up, processing, balance payroll to General Ledger and audit.
  • VISA Maintenance
  • Auditing of all Above processes and payroll processing
  • Documentation of all processes
  • Managing all Cases/inquires pertaining to these specialty programs.
  • Prepares and distributes various payroll reports for clients and management.
  • Reconciles of all earnings, deductions, and tax set up, and payroll accounts for these activities with payroll and General Ledger
  • Responds to inquiries from clients or employees related to payroll and administration.

These positions are expected to contribute to and deliver business processes or detailed technology solutions, in a self-managed and target oriented manner, and thus contributes to team results.
Positions focusing on analyzing, developing, testing or implementing processes, technologies and systems in their specific field of expertise, from first principles. Targets are short to medium term (best to be characterized as milestones), and achievements are monitored. They may provide functional advice to and integrate services of operational staff or semi-professional colleagues.

Qualifications:

  • 3–5 years of payroll experience
  • strong Knowledge of Payroll processes with Unions, Shadow payroll, delegation payroll and Visa’ requirements
  • Experience with payroll systems (e.g., Ceridian Dayforce preferred)
  • Strong Excel skills (including VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, and data analysis)
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across global teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High level of confidentiality and professionalism
  • Strong relationships with Union Vendors, HR COE’s and payroll team

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Dayforce HCM
  • PCP (Payroll Compliance Practitioner) or FPC/CPP certification
  • Experience supporting cross-border payroll operations.
  • Familiarity with ServiceNow or similar case/ticket management tools
  • Experience balancing and loading payroll files.

The annual base pay for this position is:
Min $67,700 - Max $101,600
Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
If this is a commission eligible position the commission eligibility will be in accordance with the terms of the Company’s plan. Commissions are based on individual performance and/or company performance.
