OVERVIEW

We are looking for a dependable and detail-oriented Payroll and Accounting Specialist to join our team. This role is responsible for processing payroll accurately and on time, while also supporting general accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate is organized, thorough, and able to manage sensitive information with discretion.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Associate degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in payroll and general accounting
  • Proficiency with payroll systems (such as ADP, Paychex, or similar) and accounting software
  • Strong understanding of payroll laws and tax regulations
  • Excellent attention to detail and time management skills
    Job Type: Full-time
    Pay: $32.00 - $34.00 per hour
    Expected hours: No less than 40 per week

Responsibilities
  • Process biweekly or semi-monthly payroll for all employees in compliance with company policies and applicable laws
  • Maintain payroll records, employee data, and tax information
  • Prepare and file payroll tax reports, W-2s, and other year-end documentation
  • Resolve payroll discrepancies and respond to employee inquiries regarding pay
  • Assist with general ledger entries and account reconciliations
  • Support accounts payable and receivable functions
  • Help prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reports
  • Maintain accurate financial records and support internal audits as needed
  • Assist with other accounting or administrative tasks as assigned
