About the role

We are seeking an experienced part-time Accounts Officer (30 hours per week) to manage our day-to-day financial operations while providing administrative support across the business. There is potential for the role to transition to a full-time position as the business continues to grow.

Key responsibilities

  • Bookkeeping, BAS preparation and payroll processing
  • Processing accounts payable, including reconciliation of supplier statements
  • Managing accounts receivable and debtor collections
  • Reconciling bank accounts and company credit cards
  • Preparing and loading electronic payments through banking systems
  • Maintaining accurate financial records and documentation
  • Providing general office administration support as required

About you

  • Minimum 2 years' bookkeeping or accounts experience within Australia
  • Strong working knowledge of MYOB, including payroll functions
  • Sound understanding of accounting principles and financial processes
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong problem-solving and organisational skills
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Professional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience within the mining, construction, or trade services industry will be highly regarded but is not essential
