Job Title: Payroll & Benefits Administrator
Department: Finance & Payroll
Working Hours: Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5:00pm
Location: 8291 92 St #211, Delta, BC V4G 0A4
This position is a full time Temporary position, ending Oct 31, 2025

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Must have Payroll Compliance Professional (PCP) Certification.
  • Must have minimum of 3 years of full-cycle payroll and benefits experience for 1000+ employee hourly (union and non-union) and salaried staff.
  • Proficient in Dayforce, Microsoft Office Suite, and Excel
  • Strong understanding of payroll principles, and benefit administration.
  • High level of attention to detail ensuring accuracy and strong organizational skills.
  • Analytical Ability: Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to payroll variances.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Teamwork: Collaborative mindset with the ability to work independently and within a team
Responsibilities

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll & Benefits Administrator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and processing accurate payroll records, administering employee benefits, and ensuring compliance with internal policies and statutory requirements. Your work will directly support employee satisfaction and organizational compliance.

Payroll Administration

  • Process bi-weekly and semi-monthly payroll runs accurately and on schedule.
  • Review and verify time-off requests, overtime submissions, and terminations approved by managers.
  • Conduct audits of payroll variances and communicate discrepancies to managers.
  • Process off-cycle payroll runs as required.
  • Manage termination calculations and prepare Records of Employment (ROEs).
  • Maintain and update employee payroll records, including direct deposit information and tax forms.
  • Prepare and submit union dues and benefit reports; coordinate payments with the Finance team.
  • Ensure transportation and parking subsidies are processed accurately.
  • Respond to inquiries from Service Canada, WCB, and ICBC.
  • Maintain accurate and complete documentation for all payroll transactions.
  • Support year-end payroll activities as needed.

Benefits Administration

  • Conduct regular benefits reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Liaise with third-party providers and internal stakeholders regarding benefit programs.
  • Assist employees with benefit-related inquiries and updates.

Additional Duties

  • Provide back-up support for the Payroll & Benefits Team Leader.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Team Leader or Controller.
