POSITION OVERVIEW:

Lambert Nemec Group is partnering with a respected organization in their search for a Payroll Administrator to join their dynamic payroll team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a detail-oriented payroll professional to manage high-volume, multi-provincial payrolls, support both union and non-union employee groups, and contribute to the smooth and efficient operation of a growing organization.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) designation preferred.
  • 1–3 years of payroll processing experience; multi-provincial payroll experience is an asset.
  • Experience with CanPay or similar payroll software preferred (training provided if needed).
  • Strong Excel skills and a keen eye for accuracy and detail.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, ability to work independently, and a collaborative mindset.
  • Experience processing both unionized and non-unionized payroll is an asset.
Responsibilities
  • Process weekly payroll for employees across multiple provinces, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Maintain employee records and ensure data integrity in payroll and time-tracking systems.
  • Calculate, process, and remit statutory deductions, benefit premiums, and related payables.
  • Prepare internal and external payroll reports as required.
  • Manage Records of Employment (ROEs) in accordance with Service Canada guidelines.
  • Support year-end processes including T4 and RL1 preparation and reconciliation.
  • Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to ensure accurate and timely payroll operations.
  • Provide guidance and support to employees on payroll-related inquiries.
