We are currently looking for a Payroll and Benefits Coordinator to support our mission by ensuring our employees are cared for, too. In this vital role, you will manage and administer payroll and benefits programs with accuracy and confidentiality, serving as a key point of contact for employee support. You’ll collaborate closely with the Human Resources team to enhance internal processes and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen our workplace culture and operational excellence. Position Hours: This position is full-time and on-site in Bismarck, ND. Hours worked are open for personal choice between 7:00 am and 6:00 pm, and 8 - 9 hour shifts per day. Position Pay Range: This position is salaried and compensation ranges from $52,000 - $62,400 per year, depending on experience level. Why Work With Us? What You'll Do: Maintain and oversee payroll functions, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant payroll reporting and processing. Process information in organizational payroll, HRIS, and benefits systems; ensure accuracy of payroll transactions. Oversee the maintenance of employee records related to payroll and benefits administration; prepare and maintain payroll transaction records and reports. Maintain and oversee all benefits functions and processing, ensuring the accuracy of all benefits enrollments and changes to provide accurate eligibility and enrollment information. Oversee employee benefit enrollments, terminations, changes, beneficiaries, and COBRA administration; process and administer leave requests (medical, personal, disability, and FMLA). Assist with the communication and implementation of the open enrollment process; communicate promptly with staff for health, retirement, HSA, and other benefits plan changes. Assists with new-hire orientations and benefits education processes. Collaborate within the HR team to complete projects and departmental goals; covering for other departmental positions and duties as needed. Other duties as assigned. Requirements We’re searching for an individual who is a continuous learner, friendly, compassionate, and eager to make a difference. Our ideal candidate will have: Associate’s degree in human resources or a business-related field; experience in related fields and/or other training and certifications may be substituted for collegiate education. Two plus years of experience in human resources, payroll, or benefits administration is preferred, but not required. Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines and adapt to changes. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work with interdisciplinary staff, external stakeholders, and organizations. Great customer service skills with the ability to communicate in person, over the phone, and via email clearly and positively. Ability to pass a background check and comply with our drug-free workplace policy, and a sustained amount of time in recovery.
