DCM Services is looking for a detail-oriented Payroll & Benefits Specialist who wants to grow with a dynamic, multi-state organization. You'll work directly with an experienced Payroll & Benefits Manager who will mentor you as you master the complexities of multi-state payroll, benefits administration, and HRIS systems. This isn't just processing paychecks—it's ensuring 550+ employees across multiple states get paid accurately and on time, while supporting their benefits needs and maintaining compliance across multiple jurisdictions. What You'll Do Payroll Operations (70%) Process bi-weekly and semi-monthly payroll for multi-state operations, including salaries, bonuses, benefits deductions, garnishments, and taxes Manage payroll updates for new hires, terminations, and pay changes with precision and timeliness Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local wage and hour laws across multiple jurisdictions Prepare payroll reports and support internal and external audits Respond to employee payroll inquiries with professionalism and accuracy Benefits Administration (30%) Assist employees with benefits enrollment, changes, and questions Verify insurance billing and maintain accurate benefits records Support open enrollment processes and benefits communication Process benefits changes in the HRIS system for seamless payroll integration Help prepare required benefits notices and compliance reporting Requirements What You Bring Required: 2-3 years of payroll administration experience Strong understanding of payroll fundamentals and wage & hour regulations Proficiency with HRIS platforms (Paylocity experience is a plus!) Advanced Excel skills and comfort with the MS Office suite Exceptional attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines Strong interpersonal skills and ability to maintain strict confidentiality Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Preferred: Exposure to multi-state payroll Benefits administration experience Bachelor's degree in Business, HR, or related field (or equivalent experience) Understanding of 401(k), FSA, and other benefit plans Work Location & Arrangement Ideal: Hybrid in Bloomington, MN with 1-2 days per week in office Also Considering: Fully remote candidates located in MN, VA, SC, FL, TN, or AZ #DCMHP1
