In this role, you will be highly involved in various aspects of the Payroll processes and initiatives. We seek a hands-on, self-motivated individual with experience thriving in high-growth environments. Reporting directly to the Payroll Manager, this role offers an opportunity to make a significant impact within our organization. Please note that this position is full-time and located onsite at our Redwood City office. Responsibilities: Process semi-monthly, multi state US payroll, including medical benefits, FSA, ESPP, 401(k) contributions and loans. Manage daily stock activities such as exercise and vesting. Work closely with HR team on employee matters including new hires, terminations, leave of absences and other changes that affect payroll. Maintain payroll operations by ensuring compliance with established company procedures and federal and state regulations. Prepare payroll journal entries and assist with GL account reconciliations for month-end close. Participate in quarterly reviews, annual audit, and SOX requests. Provide back-up support for the Payroll Manager. Act as the first point of contact for payroll related questions and inquires. Assist in ad hoc requests including but not limited to 401(k) audit, worker’s comp audit, insurance renewals, benefits requests, and payroll cash flows. Qualifications: A Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a similar field. 3+ years of experience processing U.S. payroll. Experience working in a high-growth company, preferably in the software industry. Proficiency in daily tasks but also adaptable to changing priorities. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Experience with NetSuite Payroll is a plus. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future company sponsorship.
