Position #: 158071 Expected Start Date: November 03, 2025 Union: OOS Facility: Prince Albert Community Services City/Town: Prince Albert Department: Payroll Type: Full-time temporary Expected Up to Date: December 31, 2026 FTE: 1 Hours of Work: 37.5 hours per 1 weeks Relief: No Float: No Field Hours: No Salary or Pay Band: As per Terms and Conditions of Employment Travel Required: No Job Description: Reporting to the Regional Manager of Payroll / Employee Benefits, the Payroll/Benefits Consultant is part of a team accountable for timely and accurate payroll and employee benefits processing to all employees of the Prince Albert Parkland Health Region.The Payroll/Benefits Consultant:Processes accurate bi-weekly payroll by utilizing acquired knowledge of collective agreements as well as Federal, Provincial and Health Region policy requirements.Accumulates all payroll data accurately in order to complete required month end, year-end, and Government statistical reports.Informs employees with respect to payroll changes, Government requirements and, on request, provides information regarding salary status, holidays, sick leave, etc. Administers benefits by completing documents and reports, communicating benefits information to employees, monitoring and ensuring benefit eligibility/enrollment and maintaining pertinent data relating to employee benefits.Keeps up-to-date with new developments in all areas of payroll & benefits, including Federal and Provincial legislation, collective agreements and policy changes. Human Resources Exemption: No Education Payroll Compliance Practitioner certification from the CPA or equivalent combination of education and experience Knowledge and Abilities Advanced knowledge of applicable collective agreements Advance computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and Access).
