Description

The Payroll Administrator/HR Specialist is responsible for all aspects of payroll operations that pertain to the staff and consumer payroll activities. Primary duties include, but are not limited to: timesheet review, accruals review, workflow processing and review, employee and consumer payroll record maintenance, processing payroll, other bookkeeping, payroll, and HR duties as assigned. The Payroll Administrator/HR Specialist is responsible for acting as a backup to all department members in the event of an absence. This position is expected to maintain a level of accuracy consistent with generally accepted accounting practices.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Associates Degree or equivalent.
  2. Payroll experience including general HR experience, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger.
  3. Computer experience, including Microsoft Excel.
  4. Demonstrated ability to take initiative and work with minimal supervision.
  5. Ability to pay attention to and follow through with detail.
  6. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  7. Ability to relate to various client populations, other staff, and the community at large in a professional manner.
  8. Ability to keep client information confidential.
  9. Typing and office machine experience.
  10. Ability to strategize and problem solve, implement and operationalize new and/or updated policies and procedures.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. High school diploma or equivalent.
  2. 18 years of age or older.
  3. Ability to pass pre-employment background checks and drug testing.
  4. Computer experience, including Microsoft Excel.
  5. Demonstrated ability to take initiative and work with minimal supervision.
  6. Ability to pay attention to and follow through with detail.
  7. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  8. Ability to relate to various client populations, other staff, and the community at large in a professional manner.
