Description ABOUT THE ROLE Ferguson Electric’s Payroll Assistant role reports to the Senior Payroll Manager all while strongly upholding and promoting the organization's core values. WHAT YOU WILL DO Gather and examine timesheets to ensure accuracy. Import data, review and balance field hours within deadline constraints. Identify and correct payroll-related errors before payroll is run. Review timecard report with our Senior Payroll Manager to ensure weekly payroll is accurate and missing time is identified prior to weekly deadline. Enter, review, and balance expenses prior to weekly deadline. Copy and distribute expenses to management for appropriate approvals. Data entry: review and balance weekly hours on reporting. File approved expenses and total jobs prior to Payroll Management review. Responsible for preparing Certified Payroll Reports for Senior Payroll Manager Responsible for preparing various monthly Minority Utilization Labor Reports and backup for Senior Payroll Manager Responsible for preparing and posting weekly equipment usage Requirements ABOUT YOUR QUALIFICATIONS Associates degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline (or equivalent work experience). 2-3 years of related experience. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment with tight deadlines
Responsibilities
The Payroll Assistant is responsible for gathering, examining, and importing timesheets to ensure accuracy, identifying and correcting payroll errors before processing, and reviewing timecard reports with the Senior Payroll Manager weekly. This role also involves entering, reviewing, and balancing expenses, preparing Certified Payroll Reports, and handling various monthly Minority Utilization Labor Reports.
