Job Title: Payroll Assistant Department: Human Resources  Location: StreamTech-Corporate office Job Type: Full-Time JOB SUMMARY: We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will support payroll processing, ensure accurate employee compensation, and maintain compliance with payroll regulations. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: * Assist in processing payroll, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. * Help Maintain employee payroll records, including tax documents, direct deposit forms, and benefits deductions. * Verify employee hours, overtime, and leave records. * Ensure compliance with federal, state, and company payroll policies. * Address payroll-related inquiries from employees and resolve discrepancies. * Assist in preparing payroll reports for management and auditing purposes. * Coordinate with HR and Finance teams to update employee data. * Process payroll adjustments, including bonuses, deductions, and garnishments. * Support end-of-year payroll processing, including tax filings and W-2 distribution. QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS: * High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or HR preferred). * Prior experience in payroll or administrative support (1+ years preferred). * Familiarity with payroll software (e.g., ADP, QuickBooks, QuickBase) is a plus. * Strong numerical and data entry skills. * Knowledge of labor laws and payroll regulations is an advantage. * Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other office software. * Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. * Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
