  • You have demonstrated excellent organizational and time management skills to manage competing priorities effectively.
  • You have strong communication and customer service skills in daily interactions with employees and team members.
  • You have continuously maintained a high level of confidentiality when handling sensitive payroll and employee information.

BONUS SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • You are working towards becoming a Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP).

Responsibilities

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:

Reporting to the Manager, Accounting Operations, you’ll be responsible for partnering with our Payroll team to deliver a high-quality customer service experience to our employees. You will support the collection, processing and verification of payroll and timesheet data. WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE IN THIS ROLE:

  • You will work as part of the payroll team to process semi-monthly payroll for both hourly and salaried employees in Canada and the US.
  • You will onboard new employees into payroll, ensuring new hire documentation is accurate and complete, while providing relevant assistance as needed.
  • You will verify and reconcile employee-submitted timesheets for accuracy and completeness, and follow up promptly when necessary.
  • You will prepare and process reconciliations related to benefit premiums, payroll deductions, and taxable benefits.
  • You will collaborate with fellow payroll team members and the People & Culture team to deliver exceptional customer support to employees.
  • You will stay current on changes in payroll regulations, tax laws, and labor laws, ensuring full compliance during payroll processing.
