QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in payroll, HR, or auditing roles, with hands-on experience using Paylocity.
  • Strong understanding of HR compliance, records retention policies, and data privacy requirements.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to analyze large volumes of data and identify trends, discrepancies, or missing information.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in auditing or reconciling HR/payroll systems preferred.

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll/HR Audit Specialist with strong experience in Paylocity to help streamline our clients HR and payroll records. This role will focus on auditing existing HR and payroll data, identifying missing information, and determining the proper handling of documents. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, meticulous, and able to provide practical solutions to improve HR recordkeeping processes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct a comprehensive audit of existing HR and payroll records within Paylocity.
  • Identify missing, incomplete, or inaccurate employee information in the Paylocity system.
  • Determine which HR documents should be scanned into the system versus securely destroyed in compliance with company policy and legal requirements.
  • Collaborate with HR and Payroll teams to standardize recordkeeping procedures and ensure system integrity.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of audit findings, action plans, and resolutions.
  • Provide recommendations for improving data entry and document management processes in Paylocity.
  • Assist in implementing corrective actions to close gaps and improve compliance.
