Job Title: Payroll & Benefit Administrator
Job Status: Full-Time
Job Location: FFUN Group
Job Summary: The Payroll & Benefit Administrator is a critical member of the FFUN Group Payroll Department, responsible for ensuring that all employees within the organization are paid in an accurate and timely fashion. We are looking for a team player who has a strong attention to detail. Some qualities and skills that would describe you are professional, trustworthy, tactful, and highly confidential. You are a person who is organized, can meet tight deadlines and adjust your communication style depending on the content and audience. This position reports to our Group Controller and will work closely with the accounting team.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Full Cycle payroll for a number of FFUN companies for salaried, commissioned and hourly employees
  • Produce monthly payroll reports for management
  • Ensure compliance in relation to industry standards, human resource policy, procedures, systems, corporate core values and business practices
  • Perform accounting for payroll transactions and reconciliation of payroll accounts
  • Communicate regularly with Managers and employees regarding payroll matters maintaining a high level of confidentiality
  • Maintain personnel files for changes
  • High attention to detail and accuracy with the ability to work within strict deadlines
  • Help manage the year end process including accurate T4 preparation, year-end CRA account balancing and final remittances

Key Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education in accounting or human resources, with a payroll specialty
  • Professional credentials as a Payroll Professional or working toward these credentials
  • 2 to 4 years current experience processing complex payroll
  • Organization and accuracy with superior data entry and multi-tasking skills
  • Superior skills with computer payroll systems
  • Experience with multiple pay models (hourly, salary, commission, bonuses, etc.)
  • Customer service focus, responsive, pleasant, even-tempered and diplomatic

Additional Requirements:

  • Experience with a human resources information system is an asset
  • Ability to learn new software quickly
  • Well developed communication skills

Compensation & Benefits:
