We are currently seeking a Payroll & Benefits Administrator for our client in Markham!
Job Title: Payroll & Benefits Administrator
Location: Markham, ON (L3R 5H8)
Salary: $60,000 – $75,000
Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Work Arrangement:

  • Fully in-office during initial training period (approx. 3 months)
  • Hybrid model afterward (2–3 days per week in-office)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process payroll for employees across various pay structures (hourly & salary) and schedules (bi-weekly & monthly) – including new hires, amendments, and terminations
  • Manage off-cycle payrolls for adjustments as needed
  • Utilize ADP for payroll processing; assist with system integrations/implementations (Ceridian experience considered an asset)
  • Administer employee benefits and pension programs, liaising with providers and responding to employee inquiries
  • Handle payroll deductions, remittances, and ensure compliance with CRA and WSIB requirements
  • Maintain accurate employee records, including time-off tracking
  • Prepare and distribute T4s and process year-end holiday bonuses
  • Stay current with legislative updates and industry trends impacting payroll and benefits
  • Support payroll onboarding from other management companies by reviewing and reconciling employee records

Qualifications:

  • PCP Certification strongly preferred (candidates in-progress will be considered)
  • Previous payroll and benefits experience within condominium or property management industry an asset
  • Strong knowledge of ADP payroll systems; Ceridian experience an advantage
  • Detail-oriented, highly organized, and comfortable managing multiple priorities
  • Solid understanding of payroll legislation and compliance requirements
