PAYROLL/BENEFITS ADMINISTRATOR

PKF lawyers might be the place for you!
The Payroll Administrator is responsible for processing bi-monthly payroll for both hourly and salary employees for our locations in Manitoba. This includes wellness pay, vacation and benefits.
You will set up and maintain employee files including all required updates.
Handling employee inquiries while maintaining confidentiality for both employees and company.
Process payroll adjustments as provided by HR.
Update and maintain reports for payroll
Maintain detailed records and documentation of all payroll transactions for compliance purposes.
All year end reports and preparing and disturbing T4’s
Prepare and submit payroll reports after each pay period
Assisting new employees with the application process and submitting applications to benefit provider
Updating employee benefits as required.
Reviewing monthly statements and making all necessary adjustments
Prepare monthly reports for accounting department
Enter monthly information for year-end report
Process monthly payments as required
Prepare benefits summaries for employees
- to have strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent time management and attention to detail
- Ability to adapt to changes and meet deadlines
- Desire to work towards Payroll Compliance Professional (PCP) designation
- Post secondary education in payroll, accounting or finance
- 1-2 years in payroll processing preferred
