Description The People's Food Co-op of Ann Arbor is seeking a 16-24 hour a week Payroll and Benefits coordinator. The role offers great flexibility with scheduling, with only every other Monday morning being mandatory for payroll processing. Responsibilities include Assist with hiring, onboarding, and training Ensure compliance with equal opportunity laws in recruiting, hiring, training, compensation and termination Maintain personnel files Maintain records on medical insurance, workers comp, unemployment claims Lead orientation for new staff Process payroll Requirements Bachelor's degree from a four year college or university; or one or two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Responsibilities
The coordinator will assist with hiring, onboarding, training, and ensuring compliance with equal opportunity laws across various HR functions. Key duties also involve maintaining personnel files and records related to insurance, workers' compensation, and unemployment claims, as well as leading new staff orientation.
