Pay: $75,000 – $85,000

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Payroll & Benefits Manager will oversee the full payroll cycle for a workforce of approximately 300+ employees. This position will also handle benefit administration, compliance reporting, and team supervision while serving as a key liaison between payroll, HR, and external vendors.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum 7 years of payroll and benefits experience, with increasing responsibility.
  • Proficiency in Spectrum ERP (or similar system) and Employee Navigator.
  • Strong Excel skills including formulas, lookups, and reporting functions.
  • Knowledge of payroll laws, Davis-Bacon requirements, ACA, COBRA, and wage/tax regulations.
  • Previous supervisory experience required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, HR, or Business Administration preferred; equivalent experience accepted.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is highly desirable.
Responsibilities
  • Manage weekly payroll processing using an ERP system..
  • Oversee certified payroll submissions for government and municipal contracts.
  • Supervise and mentor a Payroll & Benefits Coordinator, providing guidance on day-to-day activities.
  • Administer employee benefits including enrollment, deductions, reconciliations, and vendor communications.
  • Partner with HR on payroll-related aspects of onboarding, promotions, and terminations.
  • Lead audits, reviews, and reporting to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Research and resolve payroll and benefits discrepancies with professionalism.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
