Description

The One Group are partnering with a highly regarded organisation based in Peterborough to recruit a Payroll & Benefits Manager, on a full time permanent basis.
This role would see you working from the offices Monday - Friday.
You’ll be the go-to for all things payroll, pensions, and employee benefits. This is a varied and key role with wide remit, covering salaried and hourly-paid staff, liaising with Finance, HR, and external providers, and playing a pivotal role in forecasting, audit, and compliance.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Strong technical payroll expertise
  • Up-to-date knowledge of RTI, PAYE, SMP/SSP, P11D, and pension schemes
  • Confident use of payroll systems and Excel
  • Experience managing payroll forecasts, reconciliations, and third-party payments
  • A proactive mindset and people-focused approach
Responsibilities
  • Monthly payroll processing and submission of BACS
  • Administering pension schemes and benefits including auto-enrolment
  • Liaison with HMRC, auditors, and pension bodies
  • Providing payroll reports, journals, and control account support
  • Managing sickness and statutory pay, IR35, and leavers’ pay
  • Coordinating maternity pay plans, employee benefit schemes, and apprenticeships data
