POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking an experienced Payroll & Benefits Specialist with a proven track record of accuracy, compliance, and exceptional service in both payroll and benefits administration. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of payroll experience, preferably in Paycor or a similar HRIS, and 5 years of benefits administration experience. This position plays a critical role in ensuring our employees are paid accurately and on time, receive the benefits they are entitled to, and have their questions answered with professionalism and care.
This is not just a transactional payroll role — we are looking for someone who is motivated to grow in in their role over time, taking on additional responsibilities in time and attendance, leave administration, employee relations, and compliance.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 5 years of payroll experience in Paycor or a comparable HRIS/payroll platform.
  • Minimum 5 years of benefits administration experience.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll laws, benefits compliance, and related regulations.
  • Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIESPAYROLL ADMINISTRATION

  • Manage end-to-end biweekly payroll processing in Paycor (or similar system) for all employees.
  • Process payroll adjustments, including bonuses, commissions, severance, and special pay.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
  • Administer and process garnishments, child support orders, and medical support orders.
  • Review and reconcile payroll reports for accuracy.
  • Coordinate with HR and Finance to resolve payroll discrepancies promptly.

EMPLOYEE RELATIONS & GROWTH RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide excellent customer service to employees regarding payroll, benefits, and HR policy inquiries.
  • Over time, take on broader HR Generalist duties, including employee relations casework, compliance support, and policy interpretation.
  • Assist with special HR projects as assigned.
