Overview Job Summary The Payroll Clerk supports the accurate and timely processing of payroll while ensuring full compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. This position is responsible for maintaining payroll records, verifying timesheets, calculating wages, processing deductions, running reports, and assisting employees with payroll-related questions under the direction of the Payroll Manager. Responsibilities Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities · Process payroll for 1,000+ employees across multiple states, pay frequencies, and legal entities with accuracy and in a timely manner. · Maintain and update payroll records and reports to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance. · Review timesheets for completeness and accuracy, following up with managers or approvers as needed. · Confirm payroll changes each pay period based on updates from Human Resources. · Open, scan, and handle correspondence related to payroll taxes received by mail or email. · Protect confidential payroll information and maintain a high standard of professionalism. · Perform additional payroll-related tasks as assigned to support daily operations and improve workflow efficiency. Qualifications Education and/or Experience · High school diploma or equivalent required. · 3–5 years of payroll processing experience in a multi-state or multi-entity environment preferred. · UKG experience strongly preferred. Skills/Specialized Knowledge · Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel. · Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. · Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. · Solid problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills. · Demonstrated ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion. #IND456
