About the role The Payroll Compliance Coordinator is responsible for coordinating payroll compliance activities, reporting, reconciliations, audit preparation, statutory payments and payroll governance processes to ensure payroll operations remain compliant with legislative, award and organisational requirements. The role supports the Payroll Compliance Lead by undertaking day-to-day compliance administration, reporting, reconciliations and monitoring activities. This is a permanent position based at St Leonards with hybrid working opportunities available. What we can offer you We care about your wellbeing at HammondCare and as a result offer a wide range of health and lifestyle benefits including: NFP salary packaging ($15,900 tax free) plus meals and entertainment benefit (up to $2,650 tax free) Additional leave purchase options and 14 weeks paid parental leave Flexible working options, including hybrid arrangements Discounts on everyday products and services Discounted healthcare memberships - access to network of fitness centres and pools for employees and families Free access to independent counselling support for employees and families Health & Wellbeing programmes Reward & Recognition programmes Referral bonuses Career and professional development opportunities Key Responsibilities include Coordinate payroll compliance activities across the pay cycle, ensuring adherence to legislative and organisational requirements Prepare and maintain payroll reports, reconciliations, compliance calendars and supporting documentation Administer Workers Compensation claims, insurer reporting and compliance-related activities Support payroll audits, compliance reviews and statutory reporting obligations, including Superannuation, STP, ETP and FBT requirements Assist with payroll journals, invoicing, statutory payments and month-end processing Identify and support process improvements, system enhancements and maintenance of payroll procedures Core Compliance activities Coordinate payroll compliance activities to ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll obligations Administer portable long service leave, child support deductions, garnishees, salary packaging arrangements and PAYG reporting Manage Worker’s Compensation claims administration, EML reviews and related reconciliations Update pay runs, submit STP files to the ATO, generate payroll reporting and support general ledger posting activities Prepare and reconcile superannuation, leave liabilities, payroll journals and other payroll-related financial transactions Process payroll-related invoices, administer non-staff superannuation and support month-end payroll compliance, reporting and reconciliations Maintain employee reporting, compliance records and payroll documentation while identifying opportunities for process improvement About you Commitment to engaging with and supporting HammondCare's Christian Mission, Motivation, and Mission in Action A minimum of 5 year’s demonstrated experience in a payroll position Sound knowledge of workplace legislation and experience managing complex payroll and employment-related issues Strong administrative and computer skills, including advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience with payroll and time and attendance systems, preferably iChris and Kronos Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively influence, support, and advise leaders High attention to detail, with the ability to manage complex and sensitive matters with discretion, professionalism, and fairness Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment Demonstrated empathy, patience, and a customer-focused approach To Apply If you are ready to make a difference with HammondCare, Apply Now!
