POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Coordinator to join our Finance team. Based onsite at our downtown Vancouver office, this role is integral to ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for all staff across our Canadian and US locations. The Payroll Coordinator will also support the financial reporting process through monthly entries, account reconciliations, and year-end preparations.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3–5 years of Canadian payroll experience (US payroll experience is an asset).
  • 2–4 years of accounting experience.
  • Proficiency in Push Operations (or similar payroll systems), MS Excel, Word, and Windows.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain a robust system of internal controls for payroll processes.
  • Prepare and process payroll for Canadian and US employees, including all related withholdings, remittances, and compliance requirements.
  • Manage deductions and benefits, including the preparation and submission of Records of Employment (ROEs).
  • Prepare month-end labour accruals and allocations across various divisions.
  • Calculate and record employee taxable benefits, such as WorkSafeBC, Employer Health Tax, and other relevant items.
  • Generate and distribute daily and weekly labour reports for management teams.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to employee, management, and external inquiries regarding payroll and related matters.
  • Collaborate closely with the People department to provide exceptional service to all employees.
  • Oversee and complete all annual payroll filings for Canada and the US.
