The Payroll Coordinator is responsible for managing all aspects of payroll processing. They collect and verify employee data, compute wages, and ensure employees receive correct payment.
Responsibilities and Duties
· Process payroll and maintain employee time records accurately and in a timely manner using the payroll software
· Ensure proper processing of payroll deductions for taxes, benefits, contributions, and other deductions
· Reconcile payroll to the general ledger and monthly bank statements
· Issue, or reissue, physical or replacement checks or direct deposits due to payroll errors or final discharge
· Address payroll inquiries from employees and resolve any discrepancies
· Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
· Maintain accurate Payroll records and documentations, and HRIS updates
· Preparing payroll reports for management and auditing purposes
· Performs other tasks, duties or responsibilities as assigned

Education & Experience
· High school diploma or equivalent required
· Two years of experience in accounting and bookkeeping with at least six months of experience in payroll preferred.
· Minimum two (2) years’ experience in Payroll administration preferred.
· Demonstrated experience utilizing MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
· Good working knowledge of accounting practices and tax laws
Required Educational Skills & Abilities
· Spanish Speaker Required
· Proficient with ADP or the ability quickly learn payroll (HRIS) system
· Must have intermediate knowledge of computer programs in a Windows environment, including Word, Excel, and Email.
· Ability to work independently while maintaining confidentiality
· Strong attention to detail
· Be able to work as a team member
English Language Skills
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels
Mathematical Skills
· Ability to calculate figures & amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra.
Reasoning Ability
· Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Skills
Must have ADP experience*
